RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS LEVEL AND INCREASED BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that requires long treatment time, funding very expensive treatment, besides the prevalence of diabetes mellitus also increasing. The necessity people with in changing their lifestyle so blood sugar body remains balanced can make them vulnerable to stress. Stress and have close relationship, especially urban residents. cause problems controlling levels. purpose study was determine relationship between stress levels Mellitus. This used an observational analytic method cross sectional approach sample 45 respondents RW 7 Simokerto Village, Simkerto District, Surabaya, which taken using simple random sampling technique. Measurement questionnaire. Blood were obtained from observations glucometer at random. Data analyzed Spearman Rho correlation test. rank test results p = 0.00 r 0.909. means there (H0 rejected, H1 accepted) shows strong positive majority non-stress category (score 0–3) had normal (80-140mg/dL). higher level experienced, value Suggestions for further researchers are investigate other factors affect levels, as well observe behavior more valid.
